The annual "Shake the Lakes" 5K is returning for its third run! If you are looking for something to do on October 12, 2024, stop looking. Come to Hillsboro, IL and join us for a scenic 1 mile, 5K, or our Challenge race that offers the beauty of the lakes and the forest in the country. Feeling festive? Wear your Halloween costume to compete in and get your own bag of candy from The Sweet Spot when you finish. This is all fun and good for the family, as well as those true racers. Then, stay in town and enjoy the small town experience with great food at some of our local hot spots and a great drink from our local breweries after the races. This race is raising money to help support the local community.
