The annual "Shake the Lakes" 5K is returning for its second run! If you are looking for something to do on October 14 2023, stop looking. Come to Hillsboro, IL and join us for a scenic 1 mile, 5K, or our Challenge race that offers the beauty of the lakes and the forest in the country. Feeling festive? Wear your Halloween costume to compete in and build your own bag of candy when you finish. This is all fun and good for the family, as well as those true racers. Then, stay in town and enjoy the small town experience with great food at some of our local hot spots and a great drink from our local breweries after the races. This race is raising money to help support the local community.
